About Calculopedia
Free online calculators for finance, health, dates and everyday math.
1. What we do
Calculopedia is a collection of free, browser-based calculators covering finance, health, dates and everyday math. Every tool computes locally on your device — nothing you type is sent to a server, and no account is required.
Beyond the calculator itself, each page explains the formula behind the result and walks through a worked example with real numbers, so you understand not just the answer, but how it was reached. We believe understanding beats blind calculation.
2. How we keep things accurate
Every formula on the site is reviewed by our team before publication and re-checked when inputs, defaults or rules change. Each calculator page shows a "last updated" date so you can see how fresh the information is. Formulas follow widely accepted standards — for example, standard EMI/amortisation maths, recognised body-mass and calorie equations (such as the Mifflin-St Jeor and Harris-Benedict estimates), and standard percentage and date-arithmetic rules.
3. Our editorial standards
Content on this site is written and curated by our editorial team with the aim of being clear, correct and genuinely useful. We add our own explanations, worked examples, common pitfalls and practical context to every topic rather than simply copying information from elsewhere. Where we reference external material, we summarise it in our own words and link to the source so you can verify it.
4. Our privacy commitment
We never sell your data, and we never require personal information to use any tool. Calculations run in your browser. For full details, see ourPrivacy Policy.
5. A note on advice
Calculopedia is for general information and education only. Nothing on this site is financial, legal, medical or tax advice. For decisions about money, health or legal matters, please consult a qualified professional.
